So, I didn't exactly have the best day today at school. What is sad is that it was only a half day today. Anywho, I was just in a ratty mood because of finals. I really didn't want to take them today. I got a hundred on my health final though. I guess that is something to be happy about...even though that is like the easiest class ever!
Now for the not so good parts of my day: In the middle of my geometry exam, I looked down at my shirt and saw a tag. I was surprised at first because I thought that it was a piece of paper. So I tried to wipe it off of my shirt. Well, It wasn't working, so I tried to rip it off. I was almost done removing the tag when I realized that my shirt was on inside out. The tag that I was ripping off belonged to my shirt. I felt so stupid. I could feel my face redden and I sunk as low as my seat would allow. I didn't know what to do. So I hid that tag with my jacket and hoped that no one would notice.
Right after the geometry final I almost ran to my next class. I walked into the Spanish room and looked at the board. There was a huge list of things to do. All of it was book work of course, but I just kind of blew it off and wondered what our final was going to be. My friend and I were the only ones who were taking the final in Spanish because our school is so pathetically small that there were only a few of us who staying the whole day. (a few as in thirty or forty students. Isn't that small!!)
So my friend and I were waiting in the classroom for our instructions when the teacher just walked in and sat down. We just kind of stared at her, waiting for her to give us some instructions. She didn't, so we hesitantly asked her what was going on. She pointed to the board and I about exploded. I was not about to do seven pages for a final. But, I sat down and did the work like I was supposed to...without exploding.
Then I went to lunch. I forgot my lunch card, but my friends told me just to get in line and play it innocent. I did and told the lady that I had forgotten my card in my locker. It was the truth, but I still felt like I was lying just a little bit. This is because usually you are supposed to go to the end of the line if you forget your card. Well anyways, after lunch I did a lot of walking around and looking lost while I waited and looked for where my mom would be picking me up.
So now I am waiting for the day to get better. It might or it might not. There is no way to tell.

The Wierdest Dream Ever!!
Okay, last night I had the weirdest dream ever! It all starts in Never land. (My dream kinda goes all over the place, so bear with me.) Well, you know Hook, the bad guy in Peter Pan....well he was much better looking in my dream, and we were in love. Isn't that weird??
Anywho, so I went to neverland and tried to convince Peter that Hook was good now. That didn't go over very well with Peter, so we headed back to America.
So we got to America and then we went to Wal*Mart. (Hook left my dream after that.) Apparently I lived in Wal*Mart and also had a part time job there. I walked to the back of the store and saw a bunch of boys outside blowing smoke out of thir mouths. Some of the boys looked like the guys that were from some of my favorite TV shows as a kid. That was wierd. Naturally, I went over to one of them and asked what they were doing. None of them would answer me, so I went all the way to the other side where I saw a guy playing the piano and blowing smoke out of his mouth. I tapped him on the shoulder and asked what was going on and he just turned around and kept looking at me. Then this random kid ran up and said, "We're going crazy!!" 'Okay', I thought to myself 'whatever.'
I went back into the store and a few of the cashiers were laughing at me. I guessed that it was a joke at my expence so I walked straight up to them and threw them into a river that appeared suddenly at the side entrance of Wal*Mart. I ran away and decided to start a new life.
I got a floating apartment on the river next to Wal*Mart and started fresh. Floating apartments were super popular in my dream, since the world was slowly becoming trash. The economy was bad in my dream too.
At one point in my dream, I was invited to a dance and dinner. Most of the actors from high school musical were there. As we sat for dinner, I heard something in the hallway just outside the dining room. I ran our just in time to see a man fall on the ground covered in blood. I ran over to him and checked his pulse. Then, suddenly, a ball rolled into the hall and a ballarina popped out of the sphere and danced for about fifteen seconds and then disintegrated.
Well, they cleaned up the body and we sat back down to dinner. Many more people died that night. Each time I ran to them and found the ballarina. I was thourouly confused. I decided that this wierd life/game of clue was not good anymore.
I walked back to my floating apartment and turned on the TV. Then, my dream was over.
That dream was the wierdest that I have ever had.

Air Freshener Commercials
So Jordan got these two bottles of not-so-good-smelling spray stuff and I took the liberty of trying them out. (Don't tell Jordan, she doesn't know.) Well anyways, they both smell terrible. I can't believe that she would buy such an atrotious thing.
Well, my cousin Meghan and I got a little carried away with all of the sprays and made my room smell bad. Then, we got the camera and decided to make little commercials for this not-so-good-smelling stuff.
You know the song from the nutcracker....da da da da dum....bum bum..bum bum.....da da da da dum...bum bum..bum bum. well anyways, that was our backround music. It was pretty funny.
I guess when you don't have school because the roads are freezing, you kinda go crazy and do all sorts of wierd things, like make commercials for air fresheners.
My life is rather boring, so little things like that don't happen very often.

Tinsel vs. Garland
I really don't like Tinsel. In fact I remember almost every year that we decorated the tree with it, I I usually cleaned it up. I mean, you can't even re-use tinsel. It just goes everywhere and it is a pain to clean up because the vacuum doesn't pick it up very well.
Garland. I like garland. It is easy to roll back up for the next year. The small pieces are easy to be picked up by the vacuum. It is neat looking and you don't spend hours cleaning it up of the floor or deciding which side of the tree needs more of it because it is all together like Christmas lights.
So what do you think??

Troubles with the Keyboard
So I am in World geography right now and I have a funny story to tell. First, look at your keyboard. Aren’t you glad that all of the letters are there to show you were and what to type? Wouldn’t it be really annoying if someone just decided to switch some of the really important letters around?? Well….. I walked in and sat down at my table and logged in, and then I got on google to look up how Guatemala celebrates Christmas. I looked at the keyboard so that I could type “ Guatemala ” in the space but my brain all of a sudden went haywire. My eyes were telling me to type a different way but my hands were refusing to cooperate. I had to slide back from my desk and look at it for a minute. It turns out that someone had been switching the letters around. They are still switched around and it is extremely hard to type because unlike the really skilled people, I still have to look at the keyboard every now and again. I am also happy for spell-check. You have no idea how many errors I have made in this one post alone, due to having my keyboard letters switched around. The next time you are waiting for your computer to load, look at your keyboard and be thankful that someone didn’t go around switching the letters.
Today....a most unfortunate day...
This morning, I said to myself, “today is not gonna be a good day.” I should have told myself that it would be a good day because today is not a good day. To start all of my problems out, I got a blood blister by slamming my hand in my locker door by accident. Then, we were in the middle of singing a Christmas song in choir and the blister popped. I got blood all over my hands in my nails. I was severely grossed out and quickly asked the teacher if I could wash it off. I went to the bathroom and decided that after it was washed off I would use the restroom. I had to use the middle school building’s bathroom because that is the closest one around. What I didn’t really realize is that the stalls in the middle school are A LOT smaller than the stalls in the high school. I almost fell while I was going to the bathroom. NOT COOL!
Things had actually been going pretty well after that until I came to my World Geography class and all of my letters were switched on the keyboard. I didn’t think that things could get any worse, until I went to lunch. We were having chicken salad, which is actually a good thing because that is one of our best lunches, and I went to pour ranch dressing on it and the whole packed spewed out onto my shirt. I just kinda sat there in disbelief at what had just happened. I took the couple napkins that I had and tried to wipe clean the mess on my shirt. My few napkins were no match for the ranch that was now seeping into my next layer of clothing. One of my friends got up and got me more napkins, that I am VERY thankful for, and I was able to clean the rest of it up. I was made fun of and such, but I made it through.
I just thought that this was a particularly funny day because this morning at seminary, Jacom Clarkson challenged me to be opptomistic and in my opinion, he could not have picked a worse day. I hope that your day is going better than mine!!

My Investigator
I have a friend from school who is investigating the church. Truthfully, when I invited him the first time, I had no intention of converting him.
I will provide a little back-round for my friend. His name is Will. He is seventeen and owns a really ugly white truck with a bumper being held to it by a bungee cord. He goes to Pierce City and is in my grade. He has blond hair and bluish green eyes. He sells soda in the hallways at school and plays lots of mindless video games.
So, he's been to the regular meetings at church for a few Sundays in a row and goes to mutual often. We have even had the missionaries over for F.H.E. to give him discussions a couple of times.
This last discussion was the most interesting one.
It had been a semi-regular day. (all except for the fact that, that was the day that I had gotten sick.) Will and the missionaries showed up and we ate dinner. (Which was very good!)
Then, we proceeded to the livingroom. The missionaries sang us a primary song and then started with their lesson. It was mostly about putting trust in the Lord. The activity was tying a tie around Will's eyes and telling him to fall backward. He had to trust that Elder Horch would be there to catch him.
After a while of reading some scriptures and talking about trust, Elder Shaw told Will that they had a date for Will to be baptized. The room went quiet with shock. At least I was in shock. I looked and him and he seemed also to be in shock.
Elder Shaw and Horch said that they want him to work towards this baptism date (December seventh) and to do better and to read and to pray about it.
Shocked as I was, I tried to be in good spirit about it. It is not a bad thing at all. It is a really exciting thing, but I was worried about what Will thought.
The next day at school, I asked him about this baptism thing. He told me that he is really considering joining our church.
I really hope that he is joining for the right reasons. I want him to be happy and I want him to know the truth. I hope that I have been a good example for Will and I hope that he truly believes it.
I challenge all who read this post to invite a friend or acquaintance to come on Wednesday or to a stake activity or even to church on Sunday. It doesn't take a whole lot of time to just ask someone to go to church...and it is a whole lot less work for the missionaries. (Not that we want them to stop working or anything.)

I Feel Fat!!
I felt like the fattest person that ever walked the earth. "Why?" you might ask me....well....It is all Julia's fault!!
So today Julia took Jordan, Melinda, and I out to eat at a restaurant called the Rain forest Cafe. It is a really good place to eat. I have eaten there before, but it was like five years ago. Anyways, We all got these JYHUGANT (ji-huge-ant) plates of food and ate, and ate, and ate, and ate, etc.
So, after I thought that I was going to die from all of the food, We got to go boxes to put our left- overs in. (Jordan didn't have any left-overs!!) :)
Then......we decided to get dessert. It was a huge volcano-brownie thingy. It was really good. You might wonder how I was able to eat the dessert after having been so stinkin' full. Well, I will tell you. You have different compartments in your stomach... One for the main coarse, one for liquids, one for snack foods, and one for desserts. (My dessert compartment is bigger than the rest of them.)
So we ate that brownie-volcano thingy until it was almost all gone.
And now I feel like the fattest person alive!!

Today
I was sick today. I was up most of the night in the bathroom. I felt so nasty inside and I hurt really bad. I just can't stand that feeling. Once I finally got to sleep, I didn't wake up until 1:00 in the afternoon. I laid in bed for a long time until Julia and I decided to watch our favorite parts from Disney movies. (that is what the Willis girls do when they are sick!) After about three hours of that, the kids came home from school. It was crazy for a little while.......then it got crazier.
This is because we remembered that the missionaries and Will were gonna come over for dinner and F.H.E. So I went and took Tylenol and a shower. Then, I helped to straighten up the house. I still felt a bit sick while I was doing this, but I felt a lot better after I had eaten dinner. F.H.E. was really fun. The missionaries did funny activities and sang us a song. Afterward we had dessert and said goodbye to Will and the missionaries.
Julia told me to blog about my day and so this is what I am doing now.
My day was not that exciting, especially sense I was sick for the majority of the day.
I hope that you enjoyed reading my simple, boring post about my day.

Jane Austin where are you?
I wish that I lived in the time of Jane Austin. Gentlemen were gentlemen and ladies were proper. Everyone cared about being composed and things like that. I know that everyone has heard of stories about creepy people on the internet...well, there weren't any of those in Jane Austen's time, (well, at least on the internet.)
When I was in Chicago, one of the hotel managers walked into the lobby to talk to us about the hotel and management and how we needed to do certain things, but before he was finished, he said to all of the girls, "A lot of you will be wanting a romance here in the big city...but let me clue you in....most of the time, if a guy seems to good to be true, he is." That was some very sound advice.
I mean, sure you have your share of Wickam's in life, but you cannot forget about all of the Darcy's and Bingley's.
Jane Austen's time sounds like such a wonderful place to be and it would be awesome to be a mormon in a time when you don't have to worry about compromising standards and trying to impress everyone. Most everyone gets along and when they don't like a person, such as Emma and Mrs. Elton, they throw a party for them. (The next time someone throws a party for me I might have to think twice about it.)
I guess that I just wish that men would be more like they were in Jane's time. Or at least the way that she saw them.

You, too, can choose to be happy, by Carma Wadley
I was reading an article the other day about happiness. It was really good, so I thought that I would share.
Kindness is good. Kindness is wise. Kindness is necesary.
Sally Hussen has learned one of life's great lessons: "Happy days are made by happy people. Happy people are made by choice."
You, too, can choose to be happy, she says. "If you wait to be happy, you will wait forever," she said. "If you are happy now, you will be happy forever."
If it seems that Huss is speaking in aphorisms, it is because she is.
This article is so true. If we would all just be happy about things, life would be so much easier.

Ode to Mom
She's the last one to eat,
the last to be "beat",
but the first on her feet.
She doesn't read books
she's not illiterate, she just lacks the time.
She makes a good cook,
but not a good mime.
She loves all of us,
but for her that's a must.
I don't always show her that I love her too,
Although, I am sure that she knows I do.
We love you mom!!
